Sony Experia Z2 review : Has Sony done enough to survive in todays Compititive market

Sony Experia z2 : The question to answer is that Can Sony make its mark when there are Tough competitors like s5, One(m8), and of course the 5s. The answer is to some extent Yes. It over the years has made a class of people that buy Sony no matter what other brands make. And Z2 is another classy phone that attracts buyers towards it.

Technical Specifications :

The Sony experia z2 measures 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm (5.78 x 2.89 x 0.32 in) and weighs 163 g (5.75 oz) and most importantly the Sony's new beast is water and dust proof unlike its competitors excluding Samsung that is also waterproof this time. On top Sony uses Scratch resistant and shatterproof glass that is not gorilla glass. Under the glass is a  1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.2 inches Triluminos display that is said to be 4k by Sony. Inside is a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 Cpu and Adreno330 Gpu. It beats S5, One(M8), 5s with a huge 3Gb of ram. Maintaining its camera standards its packs a 20.7 MP(5248 х 3936 pixels) rear camera with 2160p recording capabilities at 60fps and 1080p and 60fps. The rear camera is 2.2 MP with 1080p recording capabilities at 30fps. The internal memory is 16Gb with Sd card support up to 128Gbs. It packs an enormous 3200mAh battery that is enough to last a day on normal use. It comes with 4.4.2 kitkat out of the box.

Goodies :

The display is stunning and the phone is classy overall having a glass finish. Sony has taken care of all the small detailing giving the phone a sleek look. the specs are great and enough to compete all other rivals in the market. It is also water and dust proof making it stand out in todays market. The screen is also Full hd, and has large viewing angles. The 3gb ram is more than enough for most processes and enough to compete all rivals that are mostly 2gb. The camera is stunning and captures flawless pics most of the time.

Flaws :

Holding the device in hand u will come to know that it feels uncomfortable as is a bit more wider for a normal hand. Moreover the Sony bloatware may irritate u as it is more than required. the phone also gets extremely hot sometimes on heavier work. Although packing enormous specs it may feel lagy sometimes.

General Opinion :

Sony has put all their efforts and made a excellent phone this time but if u are a typical  Apple user or have sticked to htc or Samsung largely the phone might not suit u well enough. Other wise it is worth purchasing. people upgrading from experia z may also think twice as it might not be a upgrade worth for them.
